Talk about sticking to a theatrical window: Disney has set a Disney+ global premiere date for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 on August 2nd, which is 90 days after the film’s May 5th theatrical release.

Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever had an 82-day window after its Nov. 11 theatrical release date before hitting Disney+ on Feb. 1.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 from DC Studios co-head-turned-director James Gunn, is currently the second-highest-grossing film of the year with $842.4 million worldwide behind Universal/Illumination The movie Super Mario Bros which generated $1.34 billion. GOTG3 is still shy of Disney/MCU’s $955.7 million summer debut, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, won last year.
